John Baker standing in line for a video game?
Now granted John Baker may not start tonight since the expected Mets starter is left-handed, but still.
Count C John Baker among the throngs who will purchase a copy of "The Beatles: Rock Band" when the computer game is released Wednesday.
"I'm a huge Beatles fan. And the game's fun to play," he said. "Two years ago for my birthday we had a 'Rock Band' party. We had a bunch of guitars. We dressed as rock stars and we all played that game. It's almost like karaoke taken to the next level."
It has been awhile since I've played a computer game, time does not permit. Could someone clue me into what he is getting up early for and fighting the masses? Just curious, since he will back in Florida in two days.

The Beatles: Rock Band
The latest installment in a game series by a developer called Harmonix that has essentially brought music-based video games into the mainstream. Basically, you get to play the songs of the Fab Four on plastic instruments that simply lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, and drums into button-pressing activities (can be harder than it sounds), while on-screen, the avatars of the Fab Four play the song to a crowd.
With friends, the game can become ridiculously addictive. But you do look like an idiot while playing.
