Now that the Marlins are out of the playoff hunt the least we can do is win the series.  When the Marlins win tonight's game, it will be first time since 2003 they have taken the season series from Atlanta.

Ricky Nolasco is our man on the mound tonight.  Nolasco seemingly has caught his second wind and has pitched very well in his last two starts.  Hopefully the trend will continue.

Javier Vazquez trots to the hill for the Braves.  Vazquez is looking for his fifth win in his last five tries.  He has been most excellent of late.  However, he has had some problems with the hard hitting Marlins.

Ichthyomancy is most definitely sleep deprived.

Best of Luck to You!

I find it interesting that...

they let Nolasco pitch against the Braves, when he does much better against the Phillies, and they’re letting Vandenhurk pitch against the Phillies when he does better against the Braves. Is this just keeping Nolasco on his normal schedule?

Cantu!

We’re on the board.

What has possessed Ricky Nolasco?

At the moment, he’s got 12 strikeouts through 5 innings, and only one hit surrendered. Can we please get this Nolly every time out?!

New Career High!

14 K’s! In only 6 innings!
Ricky is trying to make up for his horrible year all in one go!!!

Wow, what an unorthodox way to win a game...

Passed ball, Diaz thrown out returning to third.

I believe in Donnelly

Seriously.

This is like the sixth time that I see Donnelly do something oddly suspicious that makes me completely believe that he does 95% of the things that we think are screw-ups that turn into lucky plays for us on purpose. Think about it… low and outside pitch into the dirt in an area the man at third can’t see it properly to bait Diaz off the bag, then pick him off?
