The Marlins are playing two today against the Phillies and we will have two open threads.  Or at least that is the plan.

Mathematically the Marlins don't have to sweep the series with the Phillies but it would be most beneficial if they did.  Actually it would be best if the Fish ran the table from here on out and hope for a lot of help.  But the fact remains, it is Sept. 22 and we are still in this,

Josh Johnson takes the hill for the Marlins in game one.  Johnson looked good in his last and showed better command of his pitches.

Joe Blanton is on the mound for the Phillies.  Blanton is normally much better at home than on the road and he is most definitely pitching on the road today.

I have no idea what shape the field will be in after last night's football game.  But if the grounds crew gets it into anywhere near acceptable they did a fabulous job.  They are the best grounds crew in the game, so if anyone can pull it off, it is them.

Ichthyomancy isn't even close to ready for the double header.

Best of Luck to You!

Very brave....

Picking Leo to save two in a row, especially for a doubleheader. I sure hope you are right.
