Hanley Ramirez day-to-day

Hanley Ramirez left yesterday's game after pulling up crossing first base.

Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez left Tuesday's game against the Braves after four innings with a tight left hamstring and is currently listed as day-to-day.

After the Marlins' 4-3 loss that night, manager Fredi Gonzalez said his star player probably hurt it throughout the course of the game -- especially since the start time was delayed nearly three hours -- but he doesn't expect Ramirez to miss much time.

"I'm going to call it a cramp -- severe cramping on his hamstring," Gonzalez said. "Maybe it was just the length of the rain delay or the length of being out there. He's got some treatment. Hopefully he comes in [Wednesday] and says it's OK."

The word hamstring really bothers me.  Hopefully it is nothing, but if it is something, hamstring injuries, even if they are just a tweak, are hard to get over.  I never believed I would say this, but here goes, if giving Hanley a day or possibly two off will get him back in the lineup good to go then start Bonifacio at short.  I feel dirty.
