Marlins request 2015 All-Star game
The Marlins have requested to host the 2015 All-Star game, which is the earliest it could happen.
The Florida Marlins have asked Claude Delorme, senior VP of stadium development, told participants at a recent networking event for contractors seeking stadium work that the team is lobbying for 2015. MLB Commissioner Bud Selig had not yet responded to the request. --- The
Major League Baseball to host the 2015 All-Star Game, three years after the team’s new stadium is slated to open.
New York Mets’ new Citi Field will reportedly get the call in 2013 when the
National League hosts the game. An
American League city will host the 2014 game.

Hanley’s contract runs through 2014. With the eyes of baseball on a city for three days, that’s got to be just the slightest bit of extra motivation to reach another extension with him, or else you’ve got a thousand outlets writing about how Hanley’s return to South Florida is in a different uniform.
Then again, after Operation 2012, they may just plug their ears and point to the banner.
