Nick Johnson is day-to-day

Nick Johnson strained his right hamstring and is considered day-to-day.

Johnson strained his right hamstring as he was halfway down the line after flying out to left field. Johnson, who is second in the NL with a .419 on-base percentage, is day to day, but having an off day today could help expedite the healing process.

"It was pretty painful," Johnson said. "I iced it the whole first and second game and it was feeling a lot better than it did. I'll see how I feel waking up in the morning.

Nick Johnson is a good hitter and great at getting on base but the problem with NJ is that he held together by scotch-tape.  He breaks rather easily.

Hamstrings can be a nagging injury for an extended period of time.  We will see how it goes.
