We need Hanley Ramirez Back

I'm sorry to sound like a downer on my first post, but the bats of the Marlins almost seem impotent without Hanley Ramirez  in the lineup.  Ramirez has missed 3 games so far with a hip-flexor problem.  Uggla in the 3rd spot is not a good thing. Cannot understand why Cody Ross is not moved there, or at least higher in the order.  Why not in the 2 spot?  He has been one of the few consistent, and reliable contributors in the batting order. At this point he has earned it. The missed opportunities at the top of the order has been amazing since the sidelining of Ramirez. Please come back soon Hanley!

Another little tidbit, why would Hermida be in over Coghlan when a lefty is starting?  They both do struggle and their avg is similar, but the advantage of better speed and defense goes with the rookie. Not to mention the potential for excitement. I'm sorry, but I have had a lot more excitement watching Coghlan play than I have watching Hermida.(sorry Jeremy). Just my opinion, and just like what they say, every has one of those too.

JJ and Nolasco have been great, It's tough when you don't get the run support. The rest of the Staff has been solid too, just need them bats to start waking up.

Go Marlins, please!

Your excitement isn’t what they’re using to determine the lineup. it’s too early to tell how much better Coghlan may be than Hermida, who’s proven he’s a horrific outfielder. My bet is that he is slightly better. Hermida however has been a slightly better offensive player. And if you’re going to consider two guys who are about the same in terms of offense and defense, you need to also consider their playing time. Hermida has had a lot of rest because the Marlins are refusing to play him, but Coghlan’s been in the lineup almost every day for about a month now. Both guys need to be resting during the week to get Carroll’s glove in the outfield.

Also, top of the lineup you usually want higher OBP guys. I’m glad Fredi put Hermida at the 2, Uggla at 3, and Cody at 5. It works out the best without Hanley out there. Unfortunately, no one’s producing right now.
