Who do you root for?

Hey guys whats up, I got a question for you guys.

Since the Marlins are 2 games behind the wildcard leader San Francisco Giants and 6 games behind the division leader Phillies, who do you root for this coming weekend. The Giants and Phillies are playing a 4 game series and was wondering, who would you root for?

I'am honeslty undecided at this point. I don't know if to root for the Phillies to win or the Giants. I just wanna see your opinions on this situation.

Good question

I wondered the same thing this morning when i looked at the schedule but i figured we would want the giants to win because we have plenty of games left against the phillies and can take care of things on our own so any loss they take could help.

The Phillies

They’re much more talented than our team and they’re further ahead than SF. In addition, SF may be due for some regression, and if we can take care of business vs. another team in the mix for the Wild Card (the Cubs this weekend) we’d be in decent shape coming out of it.

It’s safe to say we’re not taking the division. If the Fish are to make the playoffs, it’ll be the Wild Card again. I wouldn’t mind, that’s brought us good luck the last two times, right?

Yeah I see your point, I just hope we stay hot against the Cubs

Then the Phillies play Colorado. Another team ahead of us in the Wildcard, while we play the Nats so im guessing we may make some ground on that series

I would never root for the phillies

If they lose a bunch and we keep winning, we can easily take the division. I think the only thing to do is set your sights on the division, if you do that, the wild card could take care of itself.
