MLB All-Star Futures Game
The All-Star Futures Game is today and the Marlins are being represented in the contest by Mike Stanton.
The game starts at 2:00 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN2.
Since the Marlins game with Arizona doesn't start until 4:10 p.m. you have a good chance of seeing the young Mr. Stanton in action.
If you are thinking: Well, okay, I know about Mike Stanton but I won't know anyone else in the game. Never fear, we have you covered, John Sickles at Minor League Ball will be live blogging the game and he knows everyone.
So if you have time checkout the game and checkout the live blogging action. As they say, you won't know the players without a program.

Don't know.
I watched the beginning of it just to realize it was a rerun of last years. This year’s was in rain delay. My hint was when they announced Uggla in the homerun derby—boy was I confused!

I have determined that it went thusly:
Enters in fifth inning. First AB, swings Bonifacio style at a high fastball, the second pitch he sees, and flies out. Big cut but not a really hittable pitch.
Seventh inning (final inning, due to rain delay), two outs, down 1, works a walk. Success.
aaaand that’s that. EXCITING STUFF.
