The bleary-eyed, rain soaked, Marlins took the field after a very refreshing two hours of sleep and it showed.
Sean West put forth his worst start of his young career and the main problem was that he left everything up and over the plate. A word of note for the young Mr. West: if the veteran pitcher for the other team is getting strike calls by consistently missing the strike zone outside and low, you throw there too. If the ump is calling it both ways, and most do, it is a gold mine.
Cody provided the only real sign of life for the offense by hitting his 11th home run of the season.
Get some rest guys, we do it again on Saturday.
