Fish Wrap - Marlins 7 Brewers 4

The Marlins took the lead in the first thanks to Hanley's double and Cantu's single. This would soon be erased when Big Game Andrew decided it was time to make the game a bit more challenging and started walking in runs. And if that wasn't enough, and to me it was, the Brewers scored again in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. Things were looking bleak for the hometown Marlins until the sixth when a blast from the past trotted in from the bullpen -- Jorge Julio. And he did not disappoint. Julio put on one impressive showing, you know, like the ones he did for us.

Jorge Julio 0 IP, 2 H, 5 R, 1 BB, 2 HBP.

It almost brought tears to my eyes walking down memory lane. When Julio finished doing what maybe only Julio can the Marlins had the lead 7-4 and never looked back.

It was so nice of Jorge to finally bring a smile to the fans of the Marlins.

I would suspect most teams are trying to get him.

One of the best players in the game, under a very reasonable contract, on a team with a history of being willing to deal? If I’m a fan of a team and my GM isn’t trying to put something together, I’d be pissed.

You’re talking Buccholz as a center piece, probably Jed Lowry, and more… Ability + cheap contract and their need would put us in a huge driver seat, especially after they made such a big deal about not needing to trade players to shed salary

greater than 10 runs, majority of runs scored in the 2nd half of the game (6 runs were scored after 4.25 innings.. the halfway point since we didn’t bat in the 9th!) Yeah, I’m just proud of that pick..
