The Marlins are finishing up their six-game, seven-day, road trip in Boston to play a three-game set against the Red Sox. So you know what this means....The Fish will actually be shown on baseball tonight. Now don't go losing your head or something, they won't actually mention a Marlin, but some of the players should appear in the video highlights as extras. That is, unless we win 12-0 and then it will be treated like it never happened.
Volstad takes the mound for the Fish. In his last start, nothing was working. The sinker didn't sink, he couldn't spot the fast ball, the curve wouldn't break, he didn't strike anybody out....... You get the idea. Well that happens to everyone. Volstad is too talented and his stuff too good for that to repeat. Also only one current Red Sox has seen him before.
Wakefield is on the hill for the Red Sox. Wakefield is a, as you know, knuckle ball pitcher, so this should prove interesting. Hopefully he won't be able to throw it for strikes. On the plus side: at least he is right-handed.
Ichthyomancy is fresh from the Combat Zone and is good to go.
