Florida Marlins vs Boston Red Sox - Preview (well, sort of)

Please tell me you didn't read the title of the post and think that I was going to do one -- that ain't happening.  But GameFish did and it always best to steal from your friends, since your enemies won't let you.  So here it is:

Interleague play totally, like, rox my sox.

Check it out.

While GameFish won't get her wish as to the makeup of the crowd, she can rest assured there will be some Marlins faithful in attendance tonight.

Marlins pitcher Chris Volstad will get love tonight from a small but vocal group of fans at Fenway Park: His family from Palm Beach Gardens made the trip to Boston.

Since we are cruising around the Marlins blogosphere, we might as well continue on.  Our buddy Photi, of Fish Chunks fame, has been keeping tabs on the Incredible Hurk.

Back in Nawlins...

And all is looking well.

Our final stop today is at a blog I recently stumbled across but haven't listed in the Marlins blogroll due to my sloth.  However, it is a good one: Fish Frenzy.

Michael gives his take on the Hanley dust up.  He did leave a comment on FishStripes, but in case you didn't see it, here is the extended version.

Hanley Ramirez mad at HBP, fans' heads explode

That concludes our trip around the Marlins blogosphere for today.

Oh, I did one of the email interviews for NESN, if you would like to see it, here it is:

Opposing Thoughts: A close look at the Marlins

I'm guessing there will be some who will disagree with my answers.  To which I respond: you try doing it at 3:00 in the morning.

OH and

A fun Sox blog run by boston.com is www.bostondirtdogs.com

I read it regularly in my 4 years up there, and they should do plenty of trashing on us over the week…

FishStripes was once linked to by the Dirt Dogs and OMG.....

they were like a swarm locust and this was in the offseason.

But I will admit, they were very polite. At least there were that one time.

Least surprising news of the day:

Sammy Sosa allegedly tested positive for steroids in 2003.

I wonder when his test was taken. He was also caught with that corked bat in ’03, so I wonder if there was a point when he was both on ’roids AND using a corked bat. Heck, I wonder if he was also using too much pine tar on his bats and stealing signs while he was at it.

and as always,

I win the top prize for inadvertent repetition of phrases. I wonder how I manage to do that so often?

Thanks for the mention and the link, Craig. You guys are doing a pretty good job and I figure us Marlins blogs need to stick together. You’re definitely on the Daily Roundup on my end as well, so let the content crossover!
