Scott Proctor shutdown again

Scott Proctor was shutdown once again.

Scott Proctor just can't catch a break with his right elbow.

The 32-year-old right-hander, who had surgery this offseason, was limited to just one Grapefruit League appearance this spring and, after throwing a side session on Monday at Dolphin Stadium, suffered a setback and was shut down.

The next step will be to visit orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday.

If Proctor contributes anything this season, I will be surprised.

This was always a possibility when the Marlins signed him considering he was damaged goods.  I could on and on about about how Joe Torre abused him, but really, what is the point.  It happened, and there is nothing that can be done about it now.  Hopefully Dr. Andrews will give us some encouraging news, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh Scott, while you are in Birmingham, ask for the Marlins discount and don't forget to take the punch card with you.  I think we are close to getting a free car wash.
