Um, the same Mets just had a 7-game winning streak? The same Mets who are leading the division?

This feels like a game we end up winning. If the roles were reversed, it would be one of those games where you just know that you should be up by more, and that not taking advantage is going to come back to bite you. Thus, it stands to reason that we should feel good.

a) Sign Paul Byrd – having 2 minor leaguers starting on the mound (and Miller is nothing but a glorified minor leaguer) is not acceptable. Approx $2MM
b) Sign Jim Edmonds – we need a legitimate bat in the outfield, and his defense is still good, let Carroll play every day in the minors… prob around $2MM
c) Maybe sign a reliever like Al Reyes – he shouldn’t take much money and closed for the Rays for awhile last year…
