Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Chum Bucket

The Marlins are in Milwaukee, no doubt gorging themselves on brats, seeing how they have the day off.

So that leaves us to entertain ourselves, which we are quite capable of doing.  If Architect has some really cool pictures of Sweden, now is the time to post them.  Actually, email them to me and I will get them on the site.

All topics are open for discussion since this a open thread.

The most important thing to do today is: Have a Great Day!

Only because you asked so nicely, Craig

Here’s a link to a web album I recently posted:

There’s also a few YouTube videos floating around. Not that you’ll find them very interesting, except that maybe you’ll approve of the fact that the only decoration I did of my apartment was to adorn it with several pieces of Marlins paraphernalia that I had my sister mail over.

I'll stick with the picks I accidentally made yesterday...

Except I’ll change the attendance.

Ryan Tucker gave up only 1 run in 5 innings in his first start.

so Koronka could be a real surprise, at least until people figure him out.

Do we get money back for that?

Can we sue Joe Torre?

Can we PLEASE, FINALLY SIGN PAUL BYRD???

by jrsyeagle on May 12, 2009 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions

Not quite

we didn’t give up a player like Mike Hampton to get him

by Fishfins on May 12, 2009 2:19 PM EDT up reply actions

True indeed

Bad thing is, we may be stuck with Penn for a lot longer now

by Fishfins on May 12, 2009 3:12 PM EDT up reply actions

Penn hasn't pitched poorly, surprisingly

but we definitely have to make a move now, the question is who has a solid RP to give up? Tampa – Balfour? Or do we put Miller in the bullpen and get a starter?

Fish in Milw

I would have loved to have gone out to see the Marlins this series especially to see Maybin. Ive been waiting for that kid to arrive since the Tigers drafted him.

The team stays in the hotel right across the street from where I work. I might see some of them when I go out for lunch.

A lot of the visiting players go for steak here in town at a place called Mo’s or to this neat bar called the Safe House. Some of them if golfers probably head up north to Kohler where the PGA Championship is being played next year and was a few years ago.
