Game Today
I'm in a real hurry here. The Marlins are playing the Blue Jays in Jupiter tonight. In fact the Marlins are closing out spring training against the Blue Jays and the final game of the spring will be tomorrow.
Tonight:
The Marlins starting pitcher is Chris Volstad.
The Blue Jays are going with Jesse Litsch.
Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Here are the plans for the final two games:
Manager Fredi Gonzalez said he will give his regular season players three at-bats Friday and one on Saturday, which starts at 12:05 p.m. The Marlins play the Blue Jays Friday and Saturday. Gonzalez said prospects such as Michael Stanton and Matt Dominguez will play most of the game Saturday. Joe Frisaro gives his projections for the 25-man roster. You can see it here. I made a slight miscalculation in my post yesterday. When Miller is moved to the pen the number of relievers increases by one with the number starters decreasing by one. Oh, well. Funny, writing and not thinking normally serves me so well, unfortunately it let me down yesterday. Have a Great Day!

Thats pretty dead on.
I’m pretty sure Freddy is probably going to tell the players today if they made the squad. Freddy is a good manager and gives players time before the first game to get living stuff figured out and if they get sent down, time to get hunkered in where he sends them. The big question mark is the last outfield reserve spot, and if it was me i would go Carroll all the way. I think Freddy probably thinks the same way. Go Fish

I guess I haven’t been paying enough attention (not a surprise) because this is the first I’ve heard of Andy Gonzalez.
I’m assuming he’s just a minor league placeholder until Amezega gets back, else, why trade Andino?
Me, too.
I think he was mentioned in a thread a couple days ago, and I didn’t pay any attention. Then today I see him in a couple of depth-charts. I had no idea who this guy is.
But you have to like any player who goes by the name of Andy. It’s just such a friendly name.
Opening day
I also got my ticket for Opening Day. Fish Tank for the… well, somebody will have to tell me how it all went. My eyesight is going down faster than ticket prices are going up. It was $4 when I first came to town.
