Florida Marlins in ESPN's Power Ratings

Architect commented on this in yesterday's open thread.  ESPN power ratings.

Personally, I don't care much about the various power ratings and put no stock in them but it always nice to see the Marlins in first no matter the situation.

Oh, if you are wondering who was first last week, it was the Braves.  Now they are ranked 15 after the Marlins swept.  It is early in the season and the teams tend to make huge jumps up and down.  Nonetheless, the Fightin' Fish are in first.

Can we please not fall them the fightin fish?

On a baseball level, it reminds me of Phightin Phils… on a more personal level, it reminds me of the Fighting Irish, who I hate…

but it also reminds me of Colbert’s “Better Know A District” naming system. Though that’s still 2-to-1 for bad connections.
