Ryan Tucker on the Minor League DL

Ryan Tucker is having some problems with his knee and has been placed on the DL.

Hard-throwing right-hander Ryan Tucker was placed on the seven-day disabled list on Wednesday, after he gave up seven earned runs in 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday night for Triple-A New Orleans. Tucker is dealing with a problem with his knee, which isn't considered serious.

Hopefully it is nothing since it is conceivable Tucker would be one of the short relief go to options later in the season.  Assuming that will be necessary.

I think the Marlins will need him.

Pinto isn’t as good as he was last season. He pitched one good inning in today’s game. So I think they need to replace him. They have Nunez and Lindstrom though. They are pretty good.

Dolphins. They think they're so cute. Oh, look at me, I'm a flippy little dolphin, let me flip for you.

Pinto wasn't that good last season...

4.45 ERA, 39 walks in 64.1 innings. Too early to tell this year, really. He’s played two games.

Yeah.

Well, I saw him show some flashes of brilliance last year. But you’re right about him, though. His ERA has gone up, more hits off him, more runs against him, more earned runs, more home runs, and he hasn’t increased his strikeout count. But the Marlins do have people who can replace him. They have Nunez and Lindstrom, who were brilliant last night, plus players in the system. Chris Volstad, Brett Sinkbeil, Ryan Tucker, and Sean West.

Dolphins. They think they're so cute. Oh, look at me, I'm a flippy little dolphin, let me flip for you.
