Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Marlins organization folks to run

The Marlins will be well represented in the Boston Marathon.

The Marlins aren't scheduled to be in Boston until June, when they face the Red Sox at Fenway Park. But four staff members have decided to get an early jump by taking part in the Boston Marathon on Monday. The lineup: Marlins president David Samson, general manager Michael Hill, vice president of broadcasting P.J. Loyello and head equipment manager John Silverman.

Said Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez: ''Predicted order of finish: David, Silver, Mike Hill and P.J.'' Last year, media-relations director Matt Roebuck completed the Boston race.

Why do I get the idea that Fredi picked Samson to complete the course first just because he is the team president?

Or perhaps because he's an Iron Man?

Trust me, that is no easy feat. As much as I hate him, that’s quite an accomplishment as an endurance athlete.

While I’m at it, I may as well make my icthy picks here

I see head equipment manager John Silverman winning the race.
