Stadium
is the stadium supposed to be all white. I know they want a LEED certification, but it’s just boring. How bout some reflective silver and aqua. Or cascading water falls :)
These are the Marlins we're talking about.
Teal (or aqua) is verboten. I agree that fountains or some other water feature in front would be pretty cool, especially considering that a Marlin is what we commonly call a “fish.” It looks like all they’ll have is that little reflecting pool in the back, which is rather ho-hum.
Other than that, I do think it looks really nice. I could be wrong, but it seems a little more subdued than the earlier versions, which came with all the requisite Darth Vader helmet jokes. Given that they have to work with a big sliding monstrosity on top along with its support columns, it still looks good aesthetically.
(Incidentally, the renderings of the newly clean and pristine neighborhoods of Marlin-ified Little Havana are amusing.)
Seriously.
Unless they plan on repaving everything in the surrounding neighborhood, and widening the streets as well.
What’s Spanish for ‘gentrification,’ anyway?
