Dave Horne Forty years strong

I have no idea how I missed this, but yesterday Mike Berardino wrote a column about Dave Horne who is in his fortieth year of broadcasting baseball games.

Forty years.

That's how long Dave Van Horne has been calling Major League Baseball games on television and radio.

Forty years.

That's how long his smooth baritone has carried into homes and vehicles, picnics and beach outings all across Canada and, since 2001, South Florida.

Mike as followed up post on his shared blog.

Mark my words, Dave Van Horne will eventually be a Ford C. Frick winner and enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Read the first link especially, it is nicely done.

Just an old Expo fan looking in....

You guys are lucky, Dave’s the best. Listened to him for years and you can’t do it better.
