Marlins ticket sales have increased

Now whether it is because of the possible stadium deal or not, I don't know, but for some reason Marlins ticket sales have increased.

The day after the Marlins' new ballpark was finalized, the team saw an increase in interest for the regular season.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, the Marlins announced more than 15,000 individual game tickets were sold for the regular season.

That is about double from last season.  Which is a bit odd.

Maybe they are jockeying for position for the good seats in 2012.  Maybe not.  But it is most definitely not the way things have happened the recent past.

I'll admit

I had it planned before the stadium got passed, but I bought 2 tickets in a 28 game pack with some friends the day after it passed. It made too much sense to pass up and I recommend it:

4 friends, 2 tickets to 28 games in the fishtank
$544 between 4 people is $136 each comes out to $9 a ticket
7 games in the 1st row of 127, 5 in the 2nd, and spread the rest
All super saturdays, opening day, closing day, and we picked 13 other games

So worth it…
