Game Today
The Marlins are Kissimmee to play the Astros.
The Marlins starting pitcher will be Josh Johnson.
The Astros are going with Mike Hampton. (Are we still paying his salary?)
Game time is 1:05 p.m.
In WBC action and for all the marbles:
Korea v. Japan, 9:00 p.m., ESPN
Honestly, they are playing the best baseball at the present time. And they may always will be, unless the competition is moved to a later date than early to mid-March.
In college basketball, the Women have a full slate, while the Men's NIT hopes startup again.
Have a Great Day!

Players' union files grievance: Stop making us contribute to charities!!
As usual, I crib from the Sun-Sentinel:
If the Players’ Association has its way, the Florida Marlins Get your Marlins Tickets now! Community Foundation could be out no less than $550,000 over the next six years.
The Union last week filed a grievance against clubs that contractually require players to make charitable donations.
The complaint stems from Dodgers owner Frank McCourt on Thursday saying every future Dodger would be required to contribute. The only current Marlin whose deal has such stipulations is Hanley Ramirez.
I’m not a labor lawyer, so I don’t know if such provisions are unenforceable under the CBA. But, uh, great way to improve the union’s and game’s image, guys.
