Bowling with the Marlins

If your dream has always been keggling with the Marlins catchers, you have a chance to make it come true.

Catchers John Baker and Mike Rabelo will serve as honorary Player Chairs this Saturday at the Spring Training Basebowl Tournament at Jupiter Lanes at 5 p.m. The event will feature bowlers, including Marlins players and other celebrities, raising funds for local charities through the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.

Tickets are $50 per person or $200 per team of four bowlers. Lane sponsorships are also available for $300. Registration for the event is available at www.marlins.com/community, by calling 305-623-6497 or emailing FMCF@marlins.com.

If you do participate, please let us know how it went.

We can’t get to the bowling event today, and our sons are VERY upset! John Baker was so kind to them at Fan Fest! What a great role model he is for all young boys!
Is there a way we can contribute to the great cause if we can’t attend?

I'm sure there is...

let me check on how to do it.

You can contact the Florida Marlins Community Foundation at...

Telephone: (305) 623-6497.

Email: FMCF@marlins.com

I’m sure they can tell you how to make a contribution.

If money isn’t a major object, I would recommend waiting until May 17 and signing up for dinner on the diamond. It cost a $100 per kid and $200 per adult. While a little pricey given the economic circumstances of the day, I’m told it is a lot of fun. You get to have a picnic dinner in the outfield and a Marlins player will join you and your family for the dinner.

If this sounds like something you would want to do, you can signup here:

Dinner on the Diamond

Hope that helps.
