Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The Marlins are off today, which is probably appropriate since you see, the Marlins are one of only a handful of major league teams that don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day by wearing green. I think there are six others, but I could be wrong.
But the WBC is still going on:
Pool 1:
Japan v. Korea, 11:00 p.m., MLBN
Pool 2:
Puerto Rico v. USA, 7:00 p.m., MLBN
Pool 2 is an elimination game.
Have a Great Day! And drink a green beer for me, 'cause I won't get to.

I've said it before
and I’ll say it again. I like McPherson’s potential a lot… but something about his attitude just seems off. He hasn’t been cut and you haven’t heard his name in trade rumors but he’s pretty much publicly saying try to trade for me…
And he's right.
Everything he says there is the truth: he needed to prove he could be healthy for an entire season, and he was; he was told there was a competition, while every outward expression has been that it’s Gaby’s spot to lose; and he’s old enough and has a long enough track record that his career now depends on putting up MLB numbers. I don’t begrudge him an inch for that attitude.
Nothing you say there is wrong
But there has been competition and honestly nobody has stepped up. Gaby has been the 1st baseman of the future since he was drafted and the organization doesn’t need to hide that. If Dallas is talking he shouldn’t be referencing other teams though, that’s such a Manny Ramirez attitude and not something we need on a team of young players. I think I posted this before, but when I went to the caravan stop at a whiffle ball tournament all the players were interacting with the kids, except Dallas, who sat in a corner, arms folded, not making any attempt to socialize or sign autographs.
He’s obviously dedicated to the game, and needs to get in the bigs to prove his place, but he needs to prove he belongs in the locker room a little better to me, that’s all i’m saying…
Just read the article
To me it seems like the team is trying to get away from the big boppers that cannot hit for average. Gaby hit .314 last year. Dallas hit under .280. Granted, i really want to see what McDallas can do for an extended period of time in the show because otherwise he is gone. Also, Cantu cannot, and I repeat, cannot play third base. He lost us numerous games there. At first he is not as much of a liability. I hope the front office knows what they’re doing (then again, they are almost never wrong and I have unwavering faith).
