Rick VandenHurk did good in WBC

Rick VandenHurk's performance in the WBC, while not knock your socks off impressive, it was still very good.

Rick made two starts in the WBC against two very potent lineups, Puerto Rico and the USA.  In both games he performed admirably.

VandenHurk's final stats were:

2 GS, 5.1 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 5 BB, 4 K, 1.69 ERA

Rick is still having some command issues but then, it is March.

VandenHurk is slowly starting to come into focus and his time spent with Blyleven can only be considered a good thing.  Nothing like learning from one of the best alive today.

Rick should be back in spring training camp today, though I doubt he will be doing much more than telling stories about how great the experience was.  However, don't expect Hanley to join into his delight of the tournament.
