Florida Marlins in the AFL

The Arizona Fall League is in full swing and in case you don't know it, it is where the hottest prospects from all thirty teams go to see what they can do.

If you would like to follow along with the youngsters, there are some options.

Todd Doolittle is the chief blogger for the Marlins AFL site, but he has some guest bloggers chime in.  If you want to checkout the exploits of the young Mr. Doolittle and friends in Arizona go no further than here.

However, if reading a blog is too much trouble, you can always checkout Garrett Parcell on twitter.

While I won't claim to be expert on young Mr. Parcell, we do have something in common.  It is the desire for sleep.  Garrett seems to achieve the goal better than I do.

I believe on Saturday, if you are fortunate enough to have the MLB Network, I'm not.  You can see the Rising Stars Game. The Marlins on the roster are Matt Dominguez and Bryan Peterson.

The Rising Stars Showcase takes it to another level, truly representing the best of the best. The showcase game, which will take place this Saturday at 6:15 p.m. MT, features current AFL participants selected by scouting and Minor League directors from every organization, along with input from AFL executive director Steve Cobb. The 50 players chosen to represent their organizations and AFL clubs will come together Saturday night at Surprise Stadium.

TiVO is your friend

TiVO set! Thanks for the heads-up.

The only updates on Nats Journal at the Washington Post are about Stephen Strasburg and how he is mowing down the opposition in the A.F.L.. It should be interesting to see them in action Saturday night.

When the roof happens, it will rain.

according to webMD,

the FDA has just approved a new drug for the desire for sleep. It’s called GoTheHeckToBed! Recent studies have shown that 9 out of 10 patients were cured within a few days of taking it. Maybe you could get your doctor to write a prescription. :)

Yeah, that may be an idea but...

I heard the side effects were brutal.
