Andy Fox says no thanks

Andy Fox didn't think much of the offer the Marlins made to him and turned it down.

Mark Wiley (pitching coach) and Andy Fox (infield and first-base coach) will not return to the coaching staff. Both were offered jobs within the organization but Fox already has declined.

I have no idea what the position was that Andy Fox turned downed.  I assume it was better than a beer tender at the stadium, but I really don't know that.  Fox was always in a no-win position, he followed the legendary Perry Hill, who frankly, also had problems getting the infield defense in order with this group of Marlins.  The team seemed to get better defensively under Fox's tutelage for the few years he was here, but unfortunately for him by very minute amounts.

We wish him well in the future.
