Marlins Prospect doing better

Osvaldo Martinez was very lucky, considering the circumstances .

Osvaldo Martinez was shot three times at an intersection in the city of Carolina, and the 21-year-old shortstop was not the intended target, police spokeswoman Maria Rivera said Thursday. There have been no arrests.

Rivera said it "seems that [gunmen] confused him with another person" as Martinez drove through Carolina, just east of the Caribbean island's capital, San Juan.

Martinez was recovering from surgery and in stable condition. Emergency room physician Dr. Benjamin Rodriguez said his "wounds did not have complications and they did not injure organs."

Up graded from critical to stable is a big time improvement.  Our thoughts are still with him.
