Chum Bucket
Hey folks, it's a Chum Bucket you can discuss anything you want. Whether it is BC football, knitting, sharping mower blades or whatever, it is all good.
In sports, Florida is playing Oklahoma for the National Championship. Though you will never convince anyone from Utah that it is legitimate, and frankly, I understand their complaint. But that aside, Go Gators! I always cheer for the home state team. But if you are like me with teams my alma mater plays frequently and you would no more cheer for them if the world depended on it, that is fine too. Choose a side. Or blow it off all together. Either works.
I'm really running late: Have a Good Day!

Cheer for the home-state team?
Not in college football. They’re your rivals. Besides, an in-state rival’s success has a directly adverse affect on your own team’s recruiting. It’s one thing to cheer for your state in the pros, where ultimately it won’t really matter to your team, but doing it in college is verboten!

Agreed...
And besides, the Utes are the true National Champs anyway. Tough for the Gators if they win but Rick Reilly had a point yesterday when he said the BCS has no credibility.
Can’t wait for a Canes fan to show up, read that in-state take and need their blood pressure meds.

I’m a Canes fan as well as a Michigan fan. I hate two teams, Ohio State and Florida. OSU because I’m obligated to and because everything they do is mired in shadiness. (The coach wears a sweatervest?!?). I hate the Gators because they have the absolute worst fans in the world. They are loud, obnoxious and arrogant for now good reason at all. I understand they won two basketball titles and a football title. But that does not equal back-to-back-to-back; it’s two different sports!! They were not relevant up until a couple years ago, and when Tebow won the Heisman my Wolverines beat them in a bowl game. Most of the Gators I know grew up Canes fans and converted upon their arrival in college and subsequent success. How bout y’all man up and go undefeated one season.

Does anyone know when?
The marlins typically move their spring training games to dolphin stadium??
My brother is a Mets fan, and I a marlins fan clearly, would like his bachelor party to coincide with the mets being in town. My only options are the spring training game at the end of march or the home game at the begining of april. Alas, the games in the beginning of April are Easter weekend, so that will not work.
