Chum Bucket

The waiting is over, it's time for a new Chum Bucket.  Try to stay calm.

Since I'm running incredibly behind, there won't be much to say.

In sports, stuff is going on.

In non-sports activities, stuff is also going on.

So you see, there is quite a variety to choose from.  Ah heck, talk about anything that heart desires.

Have a Great Day!

So let's see...

they don’t bother with a long-term deal for Uggla during the season. They trade for his slap-hitting replacement. And now he’s the last one left without a deal before arbitration.

I realize these sports financial matters may not be as simple as people think, but still, it really seems like the club enjoys taking constant dumps on Uggla.

Pudge

If Pudge is still as good at guiding ( is that the right word?) pitchers as he has always been then he wont have to block as many wild pitches. Whats not to like about his contributions to a young team as an experienced veteran catcher and as an ex all star Marlin?
I say GO GET HIM NOW!

I believe it’s more about his 3 million dollar asking price than what he brings to the table. Pudge won’t ask for any less and we really shouldn’t give him all that money just to mentor Baker and Rabelo. Gotta imagine the Marlins will be one of the hardest hit teams from the economy this summer.

I will pose the question though…why haven’t we talked to Brad Ausmus about filling this role? The man is a former all-star and has three gold gloves. He played only 81 games last season because he was, guess what, a mentor and teacher to two Astro up-and-comers. The only teams I see pursuing him are the Dodgers and Padres.
