Matt Lindstrom's shower

After Matt Lindstrom got his first save he was also introduced to a baseball tradition.

As a devout Mormon, RHP Matt Lindstrom doesn’t drink any alcohol. Beer showers, however, are another matter.

After notching his first career save Friday night, Lindstrom was ushered into the shower room inside the Marlins clubhouse at Busch Stadium.

“Everyone got a couple of beers,” Lindstrom said. “They shook them up and then popped them on me. Got in my eyes and stung a little bit, but it was fun.”

Yeah, beer stings when it gets into your eyes, but don't worry Matt, they only do that on the first one.  It's nice to see he had a good sense of humor about it.
