The Marlins are going for the series win today and really, really, need to get it.

Volstad was a little slow out of the box in his last start, but rallied well to give up only 1 run in 6.1 innings.  His problem is still getting through the early innings and controlling the number of walks and hits.  But when Volstad gets into trouble it doesn't seem to faze him and he normally finds a way to pitch out of it.  His day game ERA is 1.80.

Campillo is mainly an off-speed pitcher -- oh, boy.  He seems to be wearing down a bit as the season goes on.  In his last start against the Nationals he only last 3.2 innings.  Campillo also does his best work during the day, posting a day game ERA of 2.88.

Ichthyomancy still loathes weekday day games.  Best of Luck to You!

Oh, too funny...

I didn’t even realize this was another day game. They really need to cancel day games for all time. The Sentinel says 600 people were in the stands.

and holy cow...

did anyone notice that Baker is hitting .289?? Forget trading for a catcher, Baker’s the future!
