The Marlins are in New York for the final series of the season.  Though, most all weather talking people think today's game will never happen due to rain.  Since the Mets are tied for the wild card lead with the Brewers, all of the games will be played, sometime.

The Marlins have decided to skip Anibal Sanchez's start and will go with Chris Volstad, Ricky Nolasco and Scott Olsen in the series.  Since the weather looks doubtful for today and tomorrow, that may not be written in stone.

Anibal will be in the bullpen in case the umps decide to start the game and then stop it for a rain delay and then resume it.  If the delay is long enough and early enough in the game, Anibal would come in to pitch.

A reminder for the team and an heads up for the callups -- Take the Seven Train!

Pesonally I think if this game is rained out they should knock down the tent pole and move the circus to St. Petersburg.  They have a roof and the Rays are on the road.  Also it would be far from a neutral site since more Mets fans would be in attendance than Marlins fans.

Just a thought.

Volstad has lived up to every projection about him in the majors and more.  The last time he faced the Mets he went 6.1 innings allowing 5 hits and only 1 run.  He didn't win that game since the bullpen decided to throw batting practice.

Pelfrey....I wonder if he is planning on hitting Ross again?  Especially since it seems to be his go to move when Cody is at the plate.  In his last start against the Marlins, he went 6.2 innings allowing 6 hits and only 2 runs.  Not a bad outing but it resulted in a Mets loss.

Ichthyomancy doesn't believe the game will take place tonight.  But then again, who knows.  Best of Luck to You!

Did anyone see the Mets lose Thursday night? They had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th with no outs, and couldn’t even get a fly ball. Ha ha.

whoa...

well, that’s one way to lose ichthyomancy…pick a guy who’s not even playing for your AAB.

Go me.

Dang...

Doesn’t it make you really sad about that back injury?

Every year it's...

Really would love to see what he can do when healthy for a full season. And sadly it hasn’t happened.

Debate's over.

Apparently, Obama won 3-2 on a sac fly.
