As it was brought up earlier that there needed to be some sort of move made on the 40-man roster in order to bring Gaby Sanchez up.

And this was the move:

C Paul Hoover was designated for assignment to make room for 1B Gaby Sanchez on Florida's 40-man roster.

I suspect that Hoover will clear waivers even given the shortage in minjor league catching.  Not that Hoover is all that bad, he isn't.  It's just that the minor league season is over and most major league teams, or maybe all, in contention, are set to go with what they have at this point in the season.
