Chum Bucket
The Marlins are enjoying their last off-day of the season. After this they will play their final six home games and then hit the road for seven games.
The Fish are waiting for the Astros to come to town, who are wrapping up their Selig-style "home games" against the Cubs in Milwaukee. That's right, they are enjoying the same screw job the Marlins got in 2004 when a hurricane hit South Florida.
In the meantime, we have our final Chum Bucket of the 2008 regular season. So like all Chum Buckets before it feel free to discuss anything that comes to mind. Whether it be baseball, football, tennis, hockey, roller skating, the works of Emerson, the paintings of van Gogh or really anything else. Baseball normally gets the best response.
Have a Great Day!

I disagree LadyFish
I’m going to be there tomorrow but my niceties will end at clapping when they’re announced though. Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad for what happened and their displacement, but nobody felt bad for us when it happened a couple years ago. They deserved a warm reception but the MLB had to work within what other owners, schedules and weather permitted – i’m sure they did their best to accomodate both teams – ultimately houston ownership had to sign off on it and they did. We play in front of crappy crowds 9/10 at home and we make it work, Houston didn’t. I doubt any team we played at one of our road home games apologized or felt bad about knocking us out of the playoff race.
Like I said, I’ll clap when they come out. I’ll pray for the victims. That being said, we need to win. I am going to do whatever it takes to help us win (legally, of course)
