The Marlins are going for four wins in-a-row and refusing to die.

Johnson has pitched seven quality starts in his last seven starts.  He normally pitches better in the nighttime than the day.  However, he hasn't pitched as well at home as he has on the road.  This will be Josh's first start against the Nationals this season.

Redding is the Nationals team leader in wins and innings pitched.  He put together a quality start against the Braves in his last outing.  So far this season Redding is 1-2 against the Marlins while posting a 6.20 ERA.  Most of his trouble this year come when he gives up the long ball.

For some reason I found this humorous, after last night's game Nationals manager Manny Acta had this to say:

“If our offense doesn’t show up we have to catch the ball,” Washington manager Manny Acta said. “We continue to play poor defense.”

Been there.  Done that.  Bought the t-shirt.

Tonight is another Super Saturday and the entertainment is Victor Manuelle and Albita.

If you going to game and want to help out in the hurricane relief, the Marlins are making that possible.

Throughout the Marlins' final homestand of the season, a nine-game stretch that began on Friday night, fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable canned food and clothing at the ballpark.

So, if possible, take a can of something with you to the game.  And preferably something that most people like, though that isn't required.  If you live in Texas or western Louisiana stay safe.  Our thoughts are with you.

Ichthyomancy is ready for the weekend.  Best of Luck to You!

I have to say...

with the way that was hit, and being so early as it was… do you think its possible to get 30 HRs throughout the IF? 15 games left… 4 more for cantu?
