Chum Bucket

The Marlins are back in town and have an off-day while they are waiting on the Nationals to make their way south.

So in the meantime, we have another Chum Bucket. Just like all the Chum Buckets that came before it, it is completely an open thread. So feel free to discuss whatever is on your mind. It doesn't have to be baseball related, but it normally helps if you are looking for an response. But other topics do reasonably well too.

Oh, if you haven't already, head on over to elricsi fan post and put in your best guess ranking the top 10 for NL MVP. It should be fun to see what everyone thinks.

let's play the opinion game

I think the marlins jinxed (not blew, that was in not making the manny deal) the season when I received a call about a month and a half ago saying “Brian, this is Joe with the Florida Marlins front office and I have good news for you, call me back at blah blah blah.
Being the optimist I thought "Hey Brian, maybe you finally got a job with a team.”

Needless to say I’m still at the same job and the call was to try and get me to buy a remaining season ticket package, with “the opportunity to beat out fair weather fans FOR PLAYOFF TICKETS.”

Poor form marlins, poor form.

Nah....

I mean, at some point they have to decide whether to start selling playoff tickets. I’d understand if it was April or May—then it would just be ridiculous—but when a team is still neck-and-neck at the top of the division in July, there’s nothing wrong with making a ticket push.
