Andrew Miller rehabbing

Andrew Miller is expected to pitch in his second rehab game on Saturday.

Sidelined left-hander Andrew Miller (knee) will make his second rehab appearance Saturday for Class A Jupiter. Monday, he allowed two runs on two hits and walked one in one inning of a Gulf Coast League game before throwing some additional pitches in the bullpen.

Gonzalez said the plan is to build up Miller's pitch counts until he's rotation ready, but that doesn't guarantee he'll have a spot upon his return. The bullpen was an option Gonzalez didn't rule out.

Unless one of the starters gets injured, Miller won't have a spot in the rotation when he returns.  Or at least I hope not.

Judging by how his first outing went it could be awhile before he rejoins the big club.  Assuming Fredi is true to his word, and I have no reason to doubt him, they will be building up Miller's arm for long relief and possible spot starts for the remainder of the season.
