The Marlins will be going for the series win today.

Volstad is one of those rare day game pitchers we don't see around these parts very often.  In other words, he is better in day games than in night games.  His daytime ERA is 1.29 as opposed to his nighttime ERA of 4.01.  Volstad pitched against the Cubs on July 26 going 6 innings giving up 2 ER on 6 hits.

Dempster has been on fire of late, big surprise.  He has not given up more than 2 ER in each of his last five starts.  He hasn't given up a home run in his last seven starts.  Strangely, Dempster isn't as good during the day.  His daytime ERA is 3.43 as opposed to his 2.60 ERA at night.

Ichthyomancy is ready for a series win.  Best of Luck to You!

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; but if a thing is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Craig, I had Sanchez W for my AAB yesterday, did you credit me in my total score but not in the daily summary?

Build a stadium downtown and I'll buy season tickets

No I didn't....

My bad, I will add your point tonight.

Sorry about that.

Thx

Let’s hope today’s AAB keeps working out, as well. That, or we start scoring some runs!

Pinto is just awful.

Why are we only using Rhodes as a “situational” pitcher? He should be the first lefty out of the bullpen.

by Fishcrazy on Aug 17, 2008 3:42 PM EDT reply actions

no, that's how jacobs normally plays.

but i’m sure he’ll hit a towering home run next week in a game where we’re already up by 5.

by Fishcrazy on Aug 17, 2008 4:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Is Pinto's arm just dead from overuse this year?

He seemed to be the solid-but-not-spectacular lefty workhorse up until the beginning of the month.
