Doug Waechter received some good news yesterday.

Marlins reliever Doug Waechter was relieved to learn he had no structural damage in his throwing shoulder, especially after undergoing surgery on that same shoulder in October 2006. 

This time on the disabled list should be more like a pit stop for Waechter, who was diagnosed with inflammation in his shoulder joint and rotator cuff in a Monday visit to Dr.George Caldwell. 

Well, that sure beats the heck out of booking him a flight to Alabama.
