Hopefully the Marlins are through presenting gift games to the Cardinals.  And they better be.

Volstad is coming off his best start since joining the big club.  When he went 6 innings allowing 0 ER on 3 hits against Philadelphia.  The biggest downside to Chris' pitching is that he is allowing 4 walks/nine.  But that should clear itself up in time.

Lohse has looked human in his last three starts.  Giving up over a hit an inning, along with five home runs.  He normally pitches better at home than on the road.  However he is a creature of the night posting a 2.52 ERA for the season when the stadium lights are turned on.

Ichthyomancy is pretending like yesterday never happen.  Best of Luck to You!

Article

I came across a very informative and well written article about the Marlins on hardballtimes.com

http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/the-remains-of-the-season-florida-marlins/

Then I noticed who wrote it…

Nice job Craig!

indeed....good article.

I forgot that we were actually starting Burke Badenhop for a while. So now we’ve got a formidable rotation at last, and the hitting’s gone screwy.
