Anibal Sanchez's second rehab start

Anibal Sanchez made his second rehab start and it was pretty good.

Sanchez, who said he isn't rushing anything, was happy about his performance. He gave up two runs and four hits in 4 1/3 innings. But he was superb in the two areas of most importance -- control and velocity.

He threw 70 pitches and 49 were strikes. More importantly, his velocity was between 87 and 93 mph. He threw 13 of 19 first-pitch strikes and started the game by throwing strikes on 17 of his first 19 pitches.

If Anibal stays on this pace with his next start for Jupiter and the ones scheduled for Carolina he should be back around the first of August.

Setbacks wouldn't be uncommon but that doesn't mean they will happen.
