Brett Carroll to the 60-day DL
In case you were wondering how the Marlins made room for Josh Johnson on the 40-man roster, and I'm guessing you weren't, Brett Carroll was taken off the 15-day disabled list.
The Marlins activated pitcher Josh Johnson from the disabled list so that he could make his start Thursday. To make room for Johnson on the 40-man roster, the Marlins transferred outfielder Brett Carroll to the 60-day disabled list.
No big deal at this point in time. But the Marlins are running out of people they can put on the 60-day DL.

Our DL is enormous, probably the biggest in baseball.
Maybe we’ll have to go to institute the ol’ 120-day DL if things don’t start going right….
