Eulogio De La Cruz up with the Marlins

As you all know by now, Eulogio De La Cruz is up with the Marlins.

Right-hander Eulogio De La Cruz was recalled from Triple A Albuquerque (N.M.) to take reliever Matt Lindstrom's roster spot. Lindstrom was optioned to Albuquerque after Tuesday night's game against the Rays.

Manager Fredi Gonzalez said De La Cruz would work as the Marlins' long reliever, and Doug Waechter, who had been used in that role, will be used later games. This is De La Cruz's second stay with the Marlins this season. He was called up May 25 to start the second game of a doubleheader against the Giants, and he gave up two runs in three innings.

If the experiment was to try and duplicate the Josh Johnson and Jason Vargas tag team of a few years ago, where Johnson and Vargas together made one really good pitcher.  iI still needs some work.

But I will say this: Tucker and De La Cruz were in perfect sync last night.  In the future, if they can be in perfect sync doing something good, that would be better.
