Ricky Nolasco co-Player of the Week

Ricky Nolasco was named co-Player of the Week .

Nolasco didn't come up short on Monday. He joined Pirates catcher Ryan Doumit as the Bank of America co-Players of the Week.

Nolasco went 2-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 15 strikeouts in two starts last week to win the award for the first time in his three-year career. Doumit hit .400 with an NL-leading four home runs and seven RBIs and also took the award for the first time.

Nolasco, who gave up two runs in 14 2/3 innings last week, has now won five of his last six starts and six of his last seven decisions. On June 10 against the slugging Phillies, Nolasco didn't allow a run in his six-inning outing.

----

Nolasco and Doumit will be awarded suitably engraved Swiss Timepieces by Tourneau in recognition of their accomplishment.

Congratulations Ricky!

Congratulations to Ricky!

Now let’s just hope his arm doesn’t fall off after that las outing.

Yes, I have a prospect fetish. That's why I'm a Marlins fan.

Great week by Ricky

And Miller was pretty good in his last start as well… Do we still need to add a quality starter if we want to go deep in the playoffs? How about Sabathia, is that possible?
