Burke Badenhop could come out of the pen

Burke Badenhop will make his normal start but in the meantime he may be used in relief in the short run .

Badenhop, whose start was rained out Saturday, will pitch in relief early this week and be pushed back in the rotation until at least Saturday.

The Hopper was fully warmed up before the rain cancelled the game and that fact kept him from starting either of the games in the double header.  It is nice to see that the Marlins have adopted the "Once a philosopher, twice a fool" strategy when it comes to the young arms and rain delays.

If he does see time out of the pen, it will be interesting to how he is used.  He is a sinker ball pitcher, so I expect it will be in situations where the Marlins need a ground ball to get out of the inning.

Whatever the case, he is still in rotation.
