Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Giants at Marlins (5/25)-Game One

San Francisco Giants at Florida Marlins, May 25, 2008 1:10 PM EDT

We are playing two today to makeup for the rain out. There are some discrepancies in who will be pitching in the two games, but this is what I think will be happening.

The NL East Leading Marlins will send Mark Hendrickson to the hill.

The Giants will stay on rotation and start Matt Cain.

Game time is 1:10 p.m.

There will be a different Game Day thread for each game.

Due to the change in the Marlins starter, yesterday's Ichthyomancy picks don't count. There is an exception however, if a FishStriper made picks for both the weekend games yesterday, I will count them and make whatever substitutions that are necessary, should they not re-pick. In other words, if they chose for an AAB pick: Badenhop: W, it now becomes Hendrickson: W. If you would like the same treatment for your selections yesterday, just say so in the comments below and it will be done.

Ichthyomancy is ready to play a game. Good Luck!

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; but if a thing is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

my player and AAB picks from yesterday will remain the same for this game

Kensing is warming up for the second time this game....

which would lead one to believe the Badenhop will start the second game. And he probably will.

But the Giants announcers said the Marlins have some pitcher from the minors on call if they need him. In other words, he is waiting in the wings, so to speak.

That was a hit....

Visquel did his best to get Logan but just couldn’t do it.

Once again, this is a Marlins site.

Uh, Giants announcer guys....

Badenhop is a starter on regular rest. Of course one could argue whether he should be starter, but that aside, he is one.

Love the running commentary...

Craig, love the running commentary. I’d love to see more of this…maybe interact during the game. Keep up the great work!
