Brett Carroll to the DL

Brett Carroll's injuries are worse than reported last night.

An X-ray revealed Carroll has a Level 2 shoulder separation to go with a swollen right side of his face. He also partially tore some ligaments. His arm was tightly wrapped in a sling.

The Marlins will place the outfielder, who has the strongest throwing arm of any outfielder in the organization, on the disabled list Saturday.

Brett just can't buy a break.  The only positive I can conjure up is at least he will be on the major league DL which means he will be drawing his major league salary.  But really, that is a pretty crappy positive.
